The Head Coach of Shasta’s College Lady Knights basketball has coached 13 seasons with 11 winning seasons in a row.

The first two seasons he started 8-20 and 10-19. “It was pretty much at the bottom” Brown said.

“It was a lot of work and everyone else was calling us and wanted to play us because we were so terrible” said Brown.

“Then we started getting good recruits and had a winning season ever since.”

“It took a lot of work” Brown added.

“I loved playing basketball at Mt. Shasta high school and got an scholarship and played at San Diego St.” said Brown.

“So I went and played down there and went over seas and played.”

“I came back and started up my coaching career” Brown said.

“As long as I enjoy getting up and working with the kids then I’m good but if that changes then its time to go” Brown said.

The Lady Knights had a great season going 8-2 and having a share of the Golden Valley Championship.

“Great season with a 8-2 record won the GVC conference tieing Lassen” said Brown. “It’s a tough league getting a championship out there.”

“We went to the playoffs on the road and played Santa Rosa and lost.”

“They better than so yea disappointed with the outcome but, great season” Brown added.
